PLOT User Permissions

Below is a description of the different permissions types on PLOT and what each type allows. 

**For almost all purposes, users should be invited from the DIRECTORY tab on a project page. There is a MEMBERs tab on the company pages that is only used to add someone to a company, but not any projects that should only used by Enterprise accounts.**

Company Types on a Project: 

  1. GC/Prime Contractor: This company 'owns' the project on PLOT. This is who has purchased the license for PLOT and invites others to participate for free. Below are the different permissions for users on the GC/Prime company. 

    1. Lead 
      1. Can add trade and vendor companies and invite users to them. 
      2. Can edit project settings
      3. Can add/edit locations on the Logistics Map
      4. Receives notifications when Trades make delivery requests
    2. Member
      1. Can access all project pages except Settings
      2. Can make delivery requests (will require approval from a Lead of the GC). 
    3. Alerts Only
      1. Does NOT get access to project pages other than Portal (public)
      2. Receives text or email notifications through Jobsite Alerts
    4. Not on Jobsite
        1. Indicates user is member of the same contractor on a different PLOT project. Can be updated to Member/Lead without typing in email address or phone number. 
        2. Does NOT get access to project pages other than Portal (public)
  1. Trade Contractor: This company is invited to the project. They use PLOT to make delivery requests to reserve location and shared equipment for offloading. Below are the different permissions for users on the Trade Contractor company.
    1. Lead 
      1. Can request deliveries (auto-accepts on behalf of trade)
      2. Can approve deliveries either requested by a Member of their company or requested from a Member/Lead of the GC
    2. Member
      1. Can request deliveries (must be approved by Lead of their company and a Lead of the GC). 
    3. Alerts Only
        1. Does NOT get access to project pages other than Portal (public)
        2. Receives text or email notifications through Jobsite Alerts
    4. Not on Jobsite
        1. Indicates user is member of the same contractor on a different PLOT project. Can be updated to Member/Lead without typing in email address or phone number. 
        2. Does NOT get access to project pages other than Portal (public)

 

  1. Vendor: This company is added on the Directory page, or can be added to the project during a delivery request. Unless explicitly promoted from 'Not on Jobsite' to Member or Lead, the users of this company will not gain access to any project pages. 

    The primary purpose of adding Vendor companies to a project is to A) categorize deliveries coming from the same place, and B) have a directory of email/phone numbers to add to deliveries
    1. Lead / Member 
      1. Can access all project pages except Settings
    1. Alerts Only
        1. Does NOT get access to project pages other than Portal (public)
        2. Receives text or email notifications through Jobsite Alerts
    2. Not on Jobsite
        1. Does NOT get access to project pages other than Portal (public)
